What you'll be doing
Located at our design Office in Bath, Somerset, this role requires an individual with a keen interest and knowledge in all areas of electronic engineering and has a willingness to develop and learn. As a small company we require a versatile engineer who can work on both analogue and digital circuits, can build and prototype their designs, and can write code to test functionality.
You will have the opportunity to work on your own projects, research new ideas and concepts and test/evaluate new designs.
Product Development includes:
  • Designing products primarily based around STM32 microcontrollers.
  • Serial interfaces (SPI, I2C, RS232/485, USB).
  • Display interfacing (RGB, DSI).
  • Analogue circuits (signal conditioning, instrumentation).
  • DC Power supplies (Linear, switch-mode).
  • Transducer Interfacing.
  • Building test fixtures for production.

What experience you'll need
  • ECAD - Schematic capture, part library management (Cadstar, Altium Designer).
  • Working with PCB layout and routing contractors.
  • Prototyping circuits; soldering, assembly, SMT rework.
  • Some experience/knowledge of C/C++ programming would be very useful, and an interest in embedded C/C++ programming.
  • Designing for EMC and LVD compliance.
  • 5 years electronics design experience.
  • Good degree in electronic engineering.
  • Ability to handle more than one project at a time.
