Overview:Supporting the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis and collaborating with the Senior Financial Analyst to develop and maintain core financial data models across key areas such as tuition fee income, partnership payments, pay, and academic resources. Contribute to the development of internal management information to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement of reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and maintaining models for the 5-year strategic financial plan.
  • Monitor and reconcile tuition fee income (~£200m gross) monthly, identifying variances to support forecasting.
  • Reconcile partnership tuition fees and ensure franchise payments align with agreements and accounting standards.
  • Maintain and develop pay expenditure models for monthly reviews and long-term planning.
  • Provide and analyse data for annual TRAC and TRAC(T) returns, including variance commentary.
  • Support academic resource allocation through data provision for bi-annual dashboard meetings.
  • Prepare data for internal segmental reporting.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external reporting tools using finance systems and BI tools.
  • Create targeted reports to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Collaborate with systems accountants to ensure accuracy and robustness of reporting tools.
