Juice is recruiting for Payroll Manager in an established accountancy firm providing a comprehensive range of financial and advisory services to a diverse client base. This practice prides itself on professionalism, integrity and the client-focused approach. As the firm continues to grow, they are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and manage payroll operations for an established portfolio.

The Payroll Manager will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payrolls for multiple clients across various sectors. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.

DAY TO DAY:

  • Managing end-to-end payroll processes for a portfolio of clients ranging primarily within the SME market
  • Ensuring compliance with current payroll legislation and regulations, including HMRC requirements and auto-enrolment pension rules.
  • Reviewing and process new hires, terminations, bonuses, commissions, and statutory payments.
  • Maintaining and update payroll systems and records.
  • Preparing and submit Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC.
  • Managing year-end processes including P60s, P11Ds, and other statutory reports.
  • Liaising with clients to address payroll queries and provide expert advice.
  • Coordinating with internal departments & external contacts eg HR, and bookkeeping teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Implementing process improvements to enhance payroll operations and client service delivery
  • Could suit someone looking for full time work who could assist with other book-keeping duties

WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE:

  • Proven experience in a payroll position, preferably within an accountancy or bureau environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and best practices.
  • Proficient in using payroll software (e.g., Staffology Xero, or similar).
  • Excellent numeracy, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills.
  • CIPP qualification (desirable but not essential).
