An exciting opportunity has arisen with a well-performing and high-profile client based in the Bristol/Bath region. They have embarked upon a number of large and complex technology transformation initiatives and are seeking a seasoned, confident and reliable Network Engineer to support their team.Your new role
This position will place you in the heart of the client's digital infrastructure activities. The client is searching for an experienced network professional with demonstrable experience supporting the planning, installation and management of both LAN/WAN and associated wireless technologies. You will engage in a blend of both BAU and project work in this role.You will -
- Produce high-and low-level designs to meet challenging networking requirements.
- Build and configure technical solutions for networked hardware and software.
- Fault-finding, monitoring and resolution of issue
- Produce clear and concise technical documentation.
- Work across the client's site to document a detailed review of network performance
- Ensure seamless connectivity of wireless networking infrastructure across on-prem and cloud systems
What you'll need to succeed
Key Skills / Experience required :-
- Extensive experience in installation and the configuration of networks.
- Ability to create technical and user documentation with high accuracy
- Strong understanding of common network services - e.g. DNS, DHCP, Load balancing
- Experience in network design to meet customer requirements.
- Azure Cloud connectivity
- Experience working with Network Monitoring systems
- Industry standard certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive a competitive salary and package of circa £65,000pa. You'll work on a hybrid pattern, typically 3 days per week on site with parking. The role is offered on an initial 18-month fixed term contract but could extend.
