Adecco are recruiting for an Purchasing Administrator to support their director for one of their clients to start as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will:

  • To support members of the Faculty Finance team and the Faculty Technical Services Team. The post holder will contribute to the smooth running of the Faculty Purchasing function within the Finance team. The post holder will ensure that processes are fully compliant with current financial regulations and procedures.

Duties:

  • Provide written and ad hoc verbal advice to academic, research, technical and administrative colleagues about compliance with financial procedures
  • Oversee all purchasing requests and enquires using the Finance Office TopDesk system
  • Liaise with other team members with complex queries when required.

Essential:

  • Work experience in a relevant field such as finance, purchasing, stores or warehouse.

  • Experience of maintaining clear and accurate records, attentive to detail

  • Good working knowledge of standard IT packages and databases.

  • Experience of effectively organising a busy workload with sometimes conflicting priorities, to meet deadlines

  • A high degree of numeracy

  • Strong management and organisation skills.

Qualifications:

  • Education to A Level (or equivalent) or equivalent relevant professional experience

  • Purchasing, finance or customer service qualification or equivalent work experience.

The role is 4 days per week, preferable Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday we can be flexible as long as Monday and Friday are covered.
