The role

As Wellness Manager, you will lead and manage all aspects of our spa, wellness and fitness operations. Youll own the guest wellness journey from arrival to departure ensuring high standards, seamless delivery and continuous innovation. Your role will combine operational leadership, guest-facing excellence and strategic development of our wellness offering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the spa, wellness and fitness facilities (treatments, thermal suite / pool / sauna / steam, classes / fitness, etc.).
  • Manage and motivate a team of therapists, wellness staff, reception and support staff including recruitment, training, performance management, scheduling and staff development.
  • Develop, implement and maintain a wellness vision and philosophy for the resort shape spa and wellness programmes, signature treatments, seasonal offerings, holistic and botanical-inspired wellness experiences (if applicable).
  • Ensure exceptional guest experience and service standards manage guest relations, handle feedback or complaints, maintain high hygiene, safety and quality standards.
  • Manage departmental budgets, inventory / supply orders, financial performance, revenue growth (spa treatments, wellness packages, memberships, retail, upsells).
  • Collaborate across departments (housekeeping, F&B, front-of-house, marketing, operations) to deliver a cohesive, high-end guest experience.
  • Analyse guest feedback, market/wellness trends, and implement improvements or new wellness offerings to keep the resorts wellness programme fresh and competitive.

Person specification / What we are looking for

  • Proven experience (35+ years) managing spa / wellness / fitness operations in a luxury hotel, resort or spa environment.
  • Strong leadership and team-management skills; ability to inspire, develop and lead a diverse spa and wellness team.
  • Excellent guest-service orientation, interpersonal and communication skills; commitment to delivering an outstanding and personalised guest experience.
  • Commercial acumen capable of managing budgets, driving revenue, inventory, and developing wellness products/offerings.
  • Knowledge and understanding of wellness trends, holistic and spa treatments, spa standards, safety and hygiene regulations. Relevant spa/wellness certifications (e.g. industry-recognised therapies, spa management qualification) desirable.
  • Organised, proactive, creative mindset able to balance strategic planning (long-term wellness vision, new offers) with day-to-day operational excellence.
