About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional needs within a specialist provision in Bath. In this role, you will:
- Work closely with pupils across different Key Stages, ensuring they can access education and training in a safe and supportive environment.
- Assist students with tasks set by the teacher, helping them build confidence and independence.
- Use communication methods such as PECS, Makaton, BSL, or other specialist tools to aid learning.
- Foster positive interactions, promote self-reliance, and celebrate every small achievement.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children with SEN, ASD, MLD, SpLD, or other learning barriers.
- A proactive and resilient individual who thrives in a dynamic classroom setting.
- A background in SEN Teaching Assistant roles, Teaching Assistance, Support Work, or SEN settings (formal qualifications are a bonus).
- Strong communication skills and a passion for empowering young learners through education and training.
