FBC UK are currently the second biscuit manufacturer in the UK market with a strong ambition of becoming UK Market Leader.The roleTo provide an efficient and safe operation of processing equipment, whilst checking quality attribute and specification along with complying with Company Food Safety, Health & Safety, Quality and Hygiene requirements i.e., factory dress code and hand washing procedure.Key accountabilities• Complete prestart checks. (H&S/FS/QA)• Ensure there is regular communication with the Line/Process Leader and other team members• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the department’s kit/equipment• Complete specification and quality checks as and when required• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures• Adhere to all technical and food safety policies and procedures• Fault diagnosis and problem solving• Liaise with the engineering team when required• Carry out machine changeovers when required• Conduct line cleaning to required specifications• Conduct a thorough handover and takeover during each shift• Start-up & shut down the line in accordance with procedures• Train other/new team members when required, (upon achieving the relevant competency)• Learn other plant and equipment when requestedSkills & experience• Good understanding of written & spoken English plus numeracy skills• Work as part of a team - to join in and help those around you.• Good planning and organising skills.• Must be able to drive line efficiencies and control waste.• Fault diagnosis and problem-solving skills.• Ability to work on own initiative and work as part of a team and help others.• Ability to follow instructions from Line/Process Leader and Section Managers.• Willingness to learn and be flexible in a variety of tasks, displays a positive attitude.
