Our client is a successful and well-established manufacturer. They are looking for a Production Team Leader / Production Supervisor to supervise and lead the production team, as well as getting involved with the production work, and leading from the front.
PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWNG CRITERIA:
- You have at least 2 years experience of leading, supervising, or managing a team of Production / Manufacturing Operatives in a manufacturing / production environment (any industry).
- Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures in a manufacturing workplace (haveing IOSH Working Safely would be desirable).
- You are happy to get hands-on with the work involved when there are staff shortages or large workloads.
- You drive and have your own transport.
- You are confident with various IT systems (e.g. ERP systems).
- You are happy to work the shift pattern, Monday to Friday,2.00pm to 10.00pm.
Salary: £35,145
Hours of work: Monday to Friday,2.00pm - 10.00pm
(NOTE: This shift is being trialled for 3 months, then it may go to a rotating shift pattern of 6.00am - 2.00pm / 2.00pm - 10.00pm. However it is likely to stay as 2.00pm - 10.00pm)
General Responsibilities:
- Motivating, coordinating and managing a team of Production staff, ensuring workflow is maintained at a consistent and efficient rate.
- Following and implementing production plans using Lean and 5S principles.
- Overlooking the quality of finished products.
- Conducting 1 to 1’s, appraisals, disciplinaries, back to work meetings, etc.
- Getting involved with the work and leading by example.
- Other Team Leader / Management tasks as required.
This role would suit an experienced Manager / Supervisor / Team Leader that has come from a manufacturing company. Previous job titles could include; Production Manager / Production Team Leader / Manufacturing Manager / Manufacturing Supervisor / Manufacturing Team Lead / Workshop Manager / Workshop Supervisor / Shift Manager / other senior / management role.
