Job Title: Wiremen - Substation (Ninfield)
Location: Ninfield Substation
Start Date: Monday 29th September
Duration: 3-4 weeks (initially, with potential for extension)
Pay Rates:
Local: 26 / 29 / 31 per hour (depending on experience and level)
Travel: 30 / 33 / 35 per hour (depending on experience and level)
About the Role
LRL Recruitment are seeking experienced Wiremen to join a project at Ninfield Substation. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile National Grid project with competitive rates and the potential for future work across the UK.
You will play a vital role in delivering electrical wiring, terminations, and substation installation works, ensuring that the project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out substation wiring and termination duties in line with project specifications.
Work on low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) systems within a substation environment.
Follow health, safety, and quality procedures at all times.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades on-site to meet project deadlines.
Maintain compliance with National Grid and client standards.
Requirements
To be considered, candidates must have:
National Grid Substation Access Permit (BESC/Person) - essential.
ECS Card or Safety Passport - essential.
Proven experience as a Wireman on substations or similar environments.
Two recent project-specific references.
