Job Description:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum, with a focus on literacy, numeracy, and topic-based learning
- Support pupils’ academic and emotional development through creative, differentiated, and inclusive teaching strategies
- Create a positive and structured classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and resilience
- Use formative and summative assessment to track progress and inform next steps in learning
- Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and colleagues to ensure every child reaches their full potential
- Contribute to the wider school community through assemblies, events, and enrichment activities
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2
- Be a reflective and adaptable practitioner with strong behaviour management and planning skills
- Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive education, safeguarding, and child-centred learning
- Possess excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Be passionate about early years pedagogy, team collaboration, and continuous professional development
