Job Description:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum, with a focus on literacy, numeracy, and topic-based learning
  • Support pupils’ academic and emotional development through creative, differentiated, and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Create a positive and structured classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and resilience
  • Use formative and summative assessment to track progress and inform next steps in learning
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and colleagues to ensure every child reaches their full potential
  • Contribute to the wider school community through assemblies, events, and enrichment activities

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2
  • Be a reflective and adaptable practitioner with strong behaviour management and planning skills
  • Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive educationsafeguarding, and child-centred learning
  • Possess excellent communicationorganisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Be passionate about early years pedagogyteam collaboration, and continuous professional development
