Exciting opportunity for a Plant Machinist/ Waste to Energy Engineer   Our client is a well-established waste management provider based in Beccles who are looking for a Plant Machinist/ Waste to Energy Engineer to join their team. Our client handles a wide range of waste collection and processing needs with a strong commitment to sustainability, they offer comprehensive recycling and waste management services for both domestic and commercial clients.  Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain waste-to-energy systems
  • Monitor plant performance and implement improvements to maximise energy recovery and minimise emissions
  • Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems
  • Collaborate with environmental and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory standards
  • Support the commissioning of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems
  • Liaise with external contractors and suppliers for specialist maintenance or system enhancements
  • Maintain accurate records of plant performance, maintenance activities, and compliance checks
  Qualifications & Skills
  • Ideally Waste to Energy experience if not training will be provided, or Waste Recycling experience
  • Technology/Machinery Engineering Experience
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and emissions control
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Technical understanding of energy systems and plant operations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
