We are seeking a Production Planner to join our team on a temporary basis, with the potential for the role to be extended or become permanent for the right candidate. As a Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth supply flow of materials, enabling the business to meet all its production requirements efficiently.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Schedule production and manage the flow of materials to meet daily production requirements.
  • Utilise bespoke in-house systems for production planning and manage works orders.
  • Work closely with the Production and Warehouse teams to coordinate supply and understand requirements.
  • Order supplies such as ink, cartons, and paper, aligning with production schedules to meet customer order deadlines.
  • Set up new suppliers on the system and ensure effective communication with internal departments and suppliers.
  • Liaise with the warehouse to ensure they are sufficiently stocked to meet supply demands.
  • Collaborate with the production team and logistics to ensure customer order deadlines are met.
  • Continually strive to improve processes to better achieve production targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in Production Planning or Scheduling.
  • Experience using MRP systems or the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Packages, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
