Fire Surveyor

Location: Ideally based in Yorkshire, North West or East Midlands

Our client is a leading passive fire protection specialist contractor supplying a comprehensive range of third-party accredited survey, installation and compliance services to healthcare and student accommodation sector organisations across the country.

You will be part of a team carrying out Fire Door & Compartmentation surveys on a variety of sites so all candidates must be willing to travel and stay away as required.

 

Responsibilities:

- Complete visual and intrusive inspections and surveys on fire doors & Compartmentation to ensure they are up to compliance standards and identify corrective actions required.

- Produce reports and offer advice and recommendations to clients.

- Have a good understanding of Timber Fire Doors, door surrounds, general compartmentation and/or firestopping.

- Be able to identify that the frame specification is correct for the door's rating and that the choice of Frame/lining/casing and intumescent smoke seals are compatible

- Have good working knowledge of current Health & Safety and other relevant legislation.

 

Experience / Qualifications

- Fire Door & Compartmentation Experience (Installation, Supervising, Surveying)

- Recognised Fire Door Related Qualification

- Full UK driving license

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- IT literate, able to use Microsoft suite and Tablet/PDA's.
