Location: Greater Leeds area

Shift Pattern: Morning, Day & Afternoon Shifts, no Nights (on call 1 in 4)

Nicholas Associates have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, to be based in the Greater Leeds area.

Our client is a wholesale confectionery and bakery Company supplying hundreds of food businesses worldwide. They are a small family-owned business, passionate about providing bespoke tailor-made products.

An opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer has arisen. With an Mechanical bias you will provide maintenance and breakdown support to the factory on a shift rotation, Monday to Friday, 6-2pm, 8-4pm and 2-10pm, with on call cover for evenings and weekends on a rota basis, as required.

Within our client's busy factory, you will play a key role in supporting operations by providing a mechanical, electrical and engineering service, ensuring repair work and routine maintenance minimises downtime and is at all times, in a food-safe manner and always putting safety first.

This is a great opportunity to support a busy and successful production operation and also get involved in new developments and projects, such as ways to minimise our impact on the environment and improve efficiencies.

We are looking for someone who has qualified through a apprenticeship route and gained experience from working in a manufacturing environment (preferably within food manufacturing) with a keen eye for detail. Qualifications held to a HNC/HND level, in welding and/or on in 18th edition electrical wiring regulations would be desirable.
