We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Educational Psychologist to join our Client team - a small but ambitious team working to improve outcomes for children and families across the borough.



About the Role:

You'll join a growing team currently made up of 2.7 Educational Psychologists and 2 Assistant Psychologists, working closely with the Specialist Teaching Service. The post focuses on early intervention work with schools, with the opportunity to shape and deliver impactful project work across the Directorate. A portion of the role includes statutory responsibilities, but with a clear emphasis on preventative and systemic work.

Key responsibilities include as an Educational Psychologist:

  • Providing consultation, assessment and intervention within a school-based model

  • Contributing to LA-wide projects on key issues like school readiness, exclusion, and attendance

  • Working in partnership with parents, carers, schools and other services

  • Participating in research and applying evidence-based approaches to improve outcomes



What We're Looking For from our next Educational Psychologist:

  • HCPC-registered (or 3rd year trainee) Educational Psychologist

  • Experience in multi-agency working and supporting school systems

  • Strong communication, collaboration and report-writing skills

  • Open to full-time or part-time working (1.6 FTE total available)
