iSupply Recruitment are proud to be supporting an award-winning organisation with an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to work within a finance team of three. The role reports directly to the Finance Director and will work closely on a day-to-day basis with the Assistant Accountant.

This Financial Controller will primarily be responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts, including the provision of detailed cost and margin analysis by project. The role will be responsible for all aspects of project and inventory accounting and will liaise with all departments within the business, which is around 55 people in total.

What you will be doing:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including detailed analysis of margins by project.

  • Ensuring robust internal procedures and controls are in place so that cost and inventory data maintained by the business is reliable and accurate.

  • Month-end reconciliations and general ledger entries.

  • Liaising with auditors and assistance in the preparation of the annual financial statements.

  • Regular tax filings, such as the quarterly VAT return and P11D preparation.

  • Management of, and accounting for, Fixed Assets.

  • Foreign currency dealing, administration and accounting; and

  • Other ad-hoc work as required.

  • Assist the Finance Director in processing the UK & US payrolls

  • Carry out any such tasks as required from time to time, provided they are within the competence of the postholder.

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified, ACCA/CIMA or equivalent (at least 3 years post-qualification experience).

  • Previous experience of working within a manufacturing or engineering environment and familiarity with costing concepts and Bill of Material structures.

  • Strong IT skills with excellent knowledge of Excel;
