Our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Bedford, is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join their team as a Machine Operator on a permanent basis.

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery in their industry leading production facility. You will play a critical role in ensuring production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The ideal candidate will have experience in machine operation, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and adhere to Health and Safety standards.
  • Set up and diagnose machinery to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Identify and troubleshoot process faults.
  • Maintain product quality to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and pre-start HACCP checks.
  • Keep work areas clean and organised.
  • Meet daily production targets.
  • Take on additional duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Reliable and target-driven.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in a process environment is a plus.
  • Problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
  • Physically fit, able to work across multiple floors and at heights.
