Job Title: HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver
Location:Bedford
Salary:16.51 per hour increasing to 17.35 after 13 weeks (Monday to Friday). Overtime 24.77 per hour increasing to 25.87 after 13 weeks ( all rates inclusive of holiday pay)
Hours:Monday to Friday, 6am start, 37 hours per week

As anHGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver, you will play a key role in supporting local services by carrying out waste and recycling collections safely and efficiently. Drivers may also be required to assist with loading, so a flexible and team focused approach is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving aHGV Class 2 Dustcartacross local collection routes

• Ensuring all waste and recycling collections are completed safely and on schedule

• Assisting with loading duties when required

• Following health and safety procedures at all times

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Previous dustcart driving experience is desirable

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence

• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

• Good knowledge of Bedford and surrounding routes is an advantage
