You’ll be at the forefront of ensuring value for money and delivering wider commercial benefits in line with government policy and best practice, while playing a key role in a dynamic programme team dedicated to transforming pensions access for millions.The role is Bedford based and the programme team is based currently in LondonRole OverviewThe Commercial Contract Manager will report directly to the Pension Dashboard Programme Commercial Lead and is part of the MaPS Commercial Team. In this role, you will be responsible for: Contract Management:
  • Develop, refine and execute contract management plans in line with government guidance and best practice
  • Refine/execute a contractual change processes
  • Conduct negotiations for changes related to the existing contract
  • Review and amend contract documents, including service level exhibits, statements of work in line with agreed changes
  • Maintain and refine exit plans as necessary to ensure orderly contract exits
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risk
Stakeholder Management:
  • Develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Intervene, analyse, manage, and resolve business conflicts between MaPS and the vendors / suppliers and manage internal stakeholders
Skills and Experience RequiredTo excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
  • MCIPS or equivalent such as IACCM/WCC OR equivalent relevant experience or accreditation
  • Proven track record of working effectively
  • Strong and demonstrable experience of commercial contract management at a senior level (experience in a similar role and be interested in, and able to add value to, the development of a public sector contract management capability)
  • Experienced in commercial cost models and their practical implementation

Flexible WorkingAt MaPS, we take pride in our flexible approach to work. As standard, we work on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week. Hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and our headquarters in Bedford will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business needs, but personal and other relevant circumstances will also be considered.
