Bennett and Game are currently on the lookout for a Brake Press Operator for one of our longest standing clients based in Bedford.
The successful Brake Press Operator would operate the Trumpf CNC Brake Press and support the production team operating machinery, folding, punching and preparation of sheet metal products as required.
Brake Press Operator Job Overview
* Operate the CNC brake press, as part of the sheet metal production process.* Select and set up machine based on material type and thickness, load programmes and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the machine.* Monitor fill level of bulk gas storage system and record levels daily.* Work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities.* Keep work area clean and organised.* Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.* Work with team members to maximise productivity and efficiency.* Working to all H&S requirements.
Brake Press Operator Job Requirements
* 1+ years' experience on brake press, and similar CNC machinery.* Enthusiasm and interest in engineering and fabrication.* Knowledge of materials, ability to distinguish types.* Flexible approach to working.* Team worker.* Based within a commutable distance of Bedford.
Brake Press Operator Salary & Benefits
* Salary - £30,000 to £35,000 - dependent upon experience.* Working hours - Monday to Friday. (7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm).* Pension scheme - 8% employer pension.* 22 days holiday package + bank holidays.* Regular paid company events, food, drink and socials.
