About the Role:

As a CNC Programmer Operator you’ll be a key part of a precision engineering team, producing high quality components for industry leading niched manufacturing equipment. Working in a small and dynamic team, you’ll be responsible for programming, setting and operating a range of CNC machines, using Siemens 828D and ProtoTRAK controls.

This role is ideal for a skilled machinist with a passion for quality and precision, who enjoys problem-solving and continuous improvement. Whether you're an experienced CNC operator or someone who has just started out on their CNC career, looking to build on strong fundamentals, you’ll be supported in developing your skills and contributing to innovative manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machining centres to produce complex, high-tolerance components
  • Write and edit CNC programs at the machine using Siemens 828D and ProtoTRAK controls
  • Interpret technical drawings and solid models to create accurate components
  • Perform in-process inspections using hand measuring tools to ensure quality
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
  • Contribute to process improvements for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Work collaboratively with team members in a proactive and hands-on environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a high-precision CNC milling or machining role
  • Proficiency in ISO or conversational programming and editing at the machine
  • Ability to interpret SolidWorks models and engineering drawings to create part programs
  • Experience working in a small batch production environment
  • A proactive, hands-on team player with good communication skills.
