We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistant to join our team within a Pupil Referral Unit, where you'll work with students facing social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.

?? Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in small group settings or 1:1, focusing on academic progress and personal development
- Assist in managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour using restorative practices and trauma-informed approaches
- Help with planning and delivering individualised learning plans tailored to the needs of each student
- Work alongside teachers, behavioural specialists, and safeguarding teams to provide holistic support
- Monitor student progress, contributing to assessments and reporting back to the wider team
- Promote social and emotional development through targeted interventions and activities
�? We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience as a Teaching Assistant in a mainstream or alternative education setting OR
- Holds a degree in Criminology (or related field) and has a strong understanding of behaviour, youth crime, and social justice
- Has a solid understanding of trauma-informed care and effective behaviour management techniques
- Is patient, adaptable, and able to build strong relationships with vulnerable students
- Is committed to the principle of inclusion and providing the best outcomes for every student
