About the Role:

We are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support students across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 (depending on your experience and preference). You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs), provide 1:1 and small group support, and help create an environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support for pupils with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language needs.

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering inclusive learning activities.

  • Monitor student progress and offer emotional and behavioural support when needed.

  • Foster a positive and respectful learning environment.

  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals when required.

Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEND (school-based or equivalent).

  • A proactive, empathetic, and patient approach to support.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
