An experienced Principal Engineer with strong technical knowledge of industrial rotating machinery is required for an engineering company based in the Bedford area.

As Principal Engineer you will lead R&D initiatives, provide technical leadership, guide architectural decisions, drive engineering excellence and best practice across the organisation. You will shape technology strategy, mentor engineering teams, and ensure the delivery of scalable and high quality solutions. Working with customers and cross functional internal teams you will define and refine product technical requirements throughout contract lifecycle whilst driving technical excellence, best practice and innovation.

Candidates should be Degree qualified with strong, demonstrable experience of mechanical engineering design and analysis. Your experience will have been gained within industrial rotating machinery, including pumps and motors. You will possess solid commercial and business acumen, with the ability to align engineering solutions with market needs, customer expectations and strategic objectives. You will also have a comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering principles related to the design, analysis and operation of industrial rotating machinery.
