Sustainability Consultant

A well-established multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Sustainability Consultant to join its expanding sustainability team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of UK-based projects, including residential, mixed-use, commercial, education, and healthcare developments, within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver sustainability assessments and advisory services across a range of project sectors
Undertake BREEAM assessments, including evidence collation, reviews, and site inspections
Prepare sustainability statements and technical reports to support planning applications
Provide advice on net zero carbon strategies and wider sustainability objectives
Liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams throughout project delivery
Essential Criteria
Degree-qualified in sustainability, environmental science, building services, or a related discipline
Experience working within a sustainability or built environment consultancy
Strong understanding of sustainable building design principles and best practice
Excellent written, verbal, and organisational skills
Desirable Criteria
Licensed BREEAM Assessor
Experience with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) or carbon reporting
Knowledge of UK sustainability standards, guidance, and legislation
Membership of a relevant professional body
