With continued investment in people, technology, and facilities, they are now looking to expand their skilled production team by bringing in an experienced SMT Technician.

The Role
As an SMT Technician, you’ll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining SMT production lines to ensure consistent quality and efficiency. You’ll work closely with the production and quality teams to ensure every product meets rigorous industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate SMT lines, ensuring they run efficiently and to required quality standards.
  • Inspect and verify assemblies to IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Create and maintain accurate process control documentation.
  • Monitor output to achieve daily/weekly production targets.
  • Complete and maintain all relevant production paperwork and database updates in line with the company’s quality management system.
  • Follow all manufacturing procedures and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain a high level of workmanship while minimising waste and rework.

The Candidate
Previous experience running pick-and-place machines (SMT equipment).

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly documentation.

Experience with package creation/programming is advantageous.

Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality.

Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Professional and adaptable with a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Salary between £25,000- £32,000 depending on skills and experience.
