An excellent opportunity has arisen for an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join a busy Finance team. This role is perfect for someone looking to develop their finance experience in a collaborative environment while supporting a wide range of accounts payable activities.

Duties of a Accounts Payable Assistant:

  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct coding against budgets
  • Input multi-country stock and overhead invoices
  • Prepare BACS and international payment runs, recognising priority payments
  • Manage supplier account queries and process purchase returns
  • Reconcile supplier statements, ledgers, and multi-currency bank accounts
  • Set up new supplier accounts, including bank account validation
  • Post intercompany purchase invoices and journals
  • Support accounts payable month-end activities and wider group management accounts
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies within the team
  • Provide general support across all finance tasks as required
