Veracious Talent Partners are proud to be exclusively partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Bedford to recruit a talented Finance Manager.

The business is already performing ahead of its growth targets and has ambitious plans to double turnover within the next 3-5 years, offering a fantastic platform for long-term career progression.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director — who has a strong finance background and is committed to mentoring and supporting your development — you will take full ownership of the finance function, play a key role in business decision-making, and help shape the next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Full ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, providing critical insight to the senior leadership team

  • Preparation and submission of monthly management accounts and group reporting

  • Management of day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and banking activities

  • Oversight and support of two Accounts Assistants, ensuring efficient and effective day-to-day operations

  • Oversight of VAT and CIS returns, ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations and accounting standards

  • Support and management of the annual audit process, acting as the key contact for external auditors

  • Liaising with banks, suppliers, and other external stakeholders to maintain strong financial relationships

  • Driving continuous improvement across finance processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy

About You:
  • Fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or at the final stages of qualification

  • Strong experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment and familiarity with stock control processes would be advantageous

  • Commercially minded, highly organised, and able to collaborate effectively across departments

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • High attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members is desirable but not essential
