Based near Bedford, we are working with a leading company in the design, development, and manufacture of innovative equipment used in a range of industries from automotive, aerospace, rail and more! Due to increased business and continuous growth, they are now recruiting for a CNC Setter/Operator to join their machine shop team.The CNC Setter/Operator will be part of the machine shop team, producing parts and equipment for manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Set the CNC Machine tools to the program setting sheet.
- Work to drawings, tool lists and set up sheets to obtain accurate tooling.
- Operation of the CNC controls, using basic programming knowledge to produce parts.
- Carrying out quality checks
- Assembly work
- Work with the production team, assembly team, and management, suggesting improvements.
This is a summed-up list, and other responsibilities and duties will be required.
Skills & Experience required:
- Experience in a similar role, within an industrial/manufacturing environment
- CNC Turning experience
- Manual machinery experience would be advantageous.
- Ability to work to tight geometric tolerances
- Ability to work to engineering drawings and specs.
