Yourstaff Solutions are recruiting up to 34 permanent class 1 tramper drivers for our client based in Bedford.
This is a permanent position working directly for our client (not agency work), delivering to Cornwall and Wales.
Working 4 on 4 off rota's, your 4 days will be planned as follows:
- Day1 - 15hr shift with 9 hr rest period.
- Day2 - 15hr shift with 9 hr rest period
- Day3 - 15hr shift returning towards base with 9hr rest period.
- Day4 - Run back to base. Approx 50hr week.
Start times available are:
- 8 x 00.00 - 01.00
- 8 x 02.00 - 03.00
- 8 x 04.00 - 05.00
- 6 x 07.00 - 08.00
- 4 x 11.00 - 12.00
Duties include, but are not limited too:
- Pre journey vehicle checks.
- Complete vehicle check sheets, reporting all damage or defects prior to leaving site.
- Uplift cages and pallets from the previous delivery.
- Complete all paperwork/delivery notes and return to the transport admin clerk
Requirements
- You must have a minimum 6 months HGV C1 driving experience
- No more than 9 penalty points, IN,DD,DR.TT codes are not accepted due to insurance clauses.
- Current UK Driving licence, Driver qualification card and CPC card
- A good understanding of WTDrules and regulations.
- Physically fit and able to pull pallets and cages.
- Be professional, courteous, reliable and punctual at all times.
- Have your own PPE.
Rates of pay are:
- £17.91ph Monday - Friday
- £20.42ph Saturday & Sunday
- £10 per day meal allowance (tax free)
- £26.20 night out allowance (tax free)
Weekly earning potential of £1,003.50p (all hours worked Mon-Fri) to £1079.10 (including 30hrs at Sat - Sun rates) inclusive of bonuses and based on a 50hr week.
