Senior Town Planner - Growing Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy
Location: Flexible across the South East / Hybrid Working
Salary: 45,000 - 50,000 (DOE) + benefits

A highly regarded, forward-thinking planning and design consultancy is looking for a Senior Town Planner to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious planner who wants to take the next step in their career within a supportive and dynamic environment.

The Role

As a Senior Town Planner, you will take a lead role in managing a varied caseload of planning projects, from small-scale developments to strategic land promotions. You will provide expert planning advice, prepare and submit planning applications and appeals, and engage with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to achieve successful planning outcomes.

You'll also have the opportunity to mentor junior team members and contribute to business development and strategic growth initiatives.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver a range of planning projects from inception to completion

  • Prepare planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentation

  • Undertake site appraisals, planning research, and policy reviews

  • Liaise and negotiate with local authorities, stakeholders, and clients

  • Provide planning advice across a variety of sectors

  • Support junior team members and contribute to team development



About You

  • MRTPI qualified (or close to qualification)

  • Proven experience within a consultancy or local authority setting

  • Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and policy

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Confident in client-facing situations and relationship management

  • Ambitious, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects effectively
