Job overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a £300+ million new build scheme towards the end of July with anticipated end date of August 2029 but there is a realistic opportunity for a contract extension and follow on projects.
Responsibilities
Reporting to a Project Manager and Project Director you will be:
· Leading and working within a large project team.
· Manage all aspect of the build process from earthworks through to practical completion.
· Management of Health & Safety in line with company and client procedures as well legislative requirements.
· Monitor that the Engineering team order the correct materials and subcontract services in time to achieve key milestones in the programme.
· Daily supervision and coordination of the site team and contractors.
· Monitor project performance against contract targets and instigate any corrective actions.
· Ensure compliance with the contracts.
· Maintain quality control procedures.
· Chair site meetings
· Work in tandem with the design & commercial team along with external consultants.
· Attend and provide input into the monthly project review meetings which will involve client interface.
Attributes and Skills required or desired
· Working knowledge of project management software such as MS Project or Asta Power Projects.
· Able to work closely with Structural Engineers, Civil Engineers and Architects.
· Excellent leadership skills to effectively manage the site team and contractors.
· Solid experience in large new build industrial developments.
· Exceptional organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
· HNC or higher in construction related field
· In date SMSTS, CSCS Card, First Aid and Temporary Works Coordinator would be an advantage.
