Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
A well-established UK-based engineering firm, operating within multiple high-integrity industries, is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support site operations, production uptime, and continuous improvement efforts. What You'll Be Doing:
- Conducting reactive and preventative maintenance on all plant machinery and equipment
- Supporting the development and execution of planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM)
- Diagnosing and repairing faults across mechanical and electrical systems
- Manufacturing simple replacement parts using lathes, mills, and welding equipment
- Assisting with machinery moves, installations, and modifications
- Working at height and operating Forklift Trucks and Mobile Elevated Platforms (training provided)
- Supporting and supervising third-party contractors as needed
- Reporting faults and maintenance concerns to supervisors and logging via the in-house maintenance system
- Installing, inspecting, and repairing 110V, 240V, and 415V three-phase electrical services
- Reading and working from electrical and mechanical drawings
- Ensuring adherence to current Health, Safety & Environmental procedures and maintaining high workplace standards
What We're Looking For:
- Time-served engineer or equivalent qualification in mechanical fitting
- Formal qualification in IET Wiring Regulations BS7671 or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar maintenance engineering role
- Strong understanding of machinery installation and process improvement
- Familiarity with conduit, armoured cable, tray and trunking installations
- Comfortable using a range of testing equipment and interpreting engineering drawings
- Multi-skilled across mechanical and basic electrical disciplines
- Strong understanding of quality, health & safety, and housekeeping best practices
- Valid UK Driver's Licence
