Our client is looking for an experienced gas engineer to join their rapidly expanding company in Bedford, providing an amazing opportunity for an individual to help grow the company, as well as grow within it.

As a senior gas engineer, you'll be installing, maintaining, and repairing gas appliances and systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Key duties include diagnostics, safety checks, customer service, and documentation. Continuous professional development and team collaboration are also essential aspects of the role.

Location: Bedford
Salary: £39,000 - £44,000
Contract: Full-time, permanent

The Role:

  • Install and commission boilers, fires, cookers, hobs, hot water cylinders, and gas piping systems.
  • Carry out servicing, safety checks, and inspections to keep systems safe and efficient.
  • Diagnose and repair faults, replace components, and respond to urgent call-outs.
  • Detect and resolve gas leaks while adhering to strict safety regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support apprentices where required.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Gas Engineer.
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills across gas appliances and systems.
  • Up-to-date certifications and knowledge of gas safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • A team player with commitment to professional development.
