Im partnered with an exciting specialist water contractor who have secured long term work on multiple AMP8 frameworks.
In order to service these projects, my client is in the market for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join the team and work closely with the Commercial Manager. Not only to manage a team of 2/3 QSs but to help set up and implement commercial operations and processes to cater for this busy period.
Therefore, I am looking to speak with Senior/Managing Quantity Surveyors with different facets to their experience.
Firstly, we need someone whos had experience mentoring/leading Quantity Surveyors, along with a passion for leadership.
Secondly, we need someone who is a creative thinker and likes to be involved in the commercial operations and processes. Someone not afraid to propose ideas and solutions, ideally someone who has been involved in setting up operations in the past, although the right attitude will also suffice.
This role is offering great security for the next 5 years, along with excellent responsibility.
This role will suit someone ready to make a real impact in the water industry over the next 5 years at least.
What I am looking for:
- Substantial experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in a relevant environment: Water, MEICA, M&E, Nuclear, Civils etc.
- Experience mentoring/leading QSs
- A creative thinker whos not afraid to process ideas and has a passion for commercial processes.
- Able to commute to Bedford at least 2 days per week (3 days from home)
- A great attitude and willingness to be proactive and think outside the box
