I'm reaching out with an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual to join a specialist SEN setting in Bedford.

We are currently recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - though this role would equally suit an unqualified teacher with relevant experience. Please note, the HLTA qualification is not essential; what matters most is a commitment to supporting young people who do not thrive within traditional education models.

About the Role:

The Bedford site supports up to 25 students of all genders, providing education by stage, not age, ensuring gaps in learning and attainment are addressed before progression. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the teaching and learning of students with SEMH and additional needs

  • Deliver targeted interventions and small group sessions

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification is desirable but not essential

  • Experience supporting young people in an educational, care, or mentoring capacity
