Are you passionate about preventing homelessness and supporting vulnerable people to achieve better outcomes? We're looking for an experienced and motivated Homeless Intervention Caseworker to join our award-nominated, forward-thinking Homelessness Intervention Team.

This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact by helping single people who are at risk of homelessness or rough sleeping, while contributing to service development and mentoring colleagues in a supportive, reflective environment.

What You'll Do:

As part of the Crisis Intervention Team, you'll hold a complex and varied caseload, delivering advice and support in line with the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, Housing Act 1996 (Part 7), and related legislation.

In this advanced practitioner role, you'll also:

  • Coach and mentor team members, helping to build skills and confidence

  • Support case reviews and uphold consistent, high-quality decision-making

  • Provide cover for senior duty responsibilities as needed

  • Share best practice and contribute to service improvements

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking someone with:

  • In-depth knowledge of housing law and homelessness legislation

  • Familiarity with related legal frameworks (e.g., safeguarding, landlord & tenant law, welfare benefits)

  • Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills

  • The ability to work under pressure while supporting others

  • A collaborative and reflective mindset, with a commitment to high-quality service

Working Arrangements:

This is a hybrid role offering flexibility and work-life balance. You'll work remotely most of the time but are expected to attend our Dunstable office one day per week for in-person collaboration, case discussions, and service delivery. Access to a vehicle is essential, as you'll be required to work across the Central Bedfordshire area.
