Job Title: Social Worker - Achieving Permanence Team

Rate of Pay: £38 per hour

The Role

As a social worker in the Achieving Permanence Team, you will manage a varied caseload of children who are subject to care proceedings or are on a permanence pathway. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of children where the local authority has initiated legal proceedings under the Public Law Outline (PLO).

  • Preparing and presenting high-quality, analytical court reports, including Annex B and Special Guardianship Order (SGO) assessments.

  • Working closely with legal teams, barristers, and Cafcass to progress cases through the court system efficiently and effectively.

  • Developing and implementing permanence plans, ensuring a child's needs for stability are met without delay.

  • Giving evidence in court and attending legal planning meetings.

  • Liaising with families, foster carers, and other professionals to gather the necessary evidence for court reports and assessments.

  • Working to strict legal and statutory timescales, ensuring all deadlines are met and court directions are followed.
