A forward-thinking and inclusive primary school in Kempston is working in partnership with Tradewind Recruitment to appoint a Graduate SEN TA with a focus on supporting pupils with special educational needs, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

This mainstream primary school are looking for graduates with a real enthusiasm for learning and the ability to take feedback on board and implement in their work.

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with children diagnosed with ASD, providing tailored academic and emotional support

  • Use creative and differentiated approaches to support individual learning needs

  • Feedback to parents and SENDCO where appropriate

  • Create a fun and safe learning environment

  • Work with several students on a 1-1 basis with a range of special needs

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a degree in Psychology, Education, or a related subject

  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in working with children with additional needs

  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Be proactive, patient, and adaptable in a classroom setting

  • Have a sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection practice.
