Location: St Neots
Salary: 37,500 - 40,000 depending on experience
Summary:
We seek an energetic, driven Transport Planner, with pallet network experience to join a dynamic logistics business in a period of growth, where opportunities for development are vast.
This role is working Monday - Friday, 5am - 3pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the transport planning operation to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective deliveries.
- Allocate resources, organise schedules and ensure that robust planning is in place to meet service level agreements.
- Ensure compliance to legislative requirements including Drivers' Hours and WTD regulations.
- Work closely with the team of Drivers, conducting briefs and de-briefs, managing their workloads, and resolving any driver queries.
- Ongoing focus on continuous improvement and constantly strive to improve operational efficiencies and fleet performance.
- Liaise with the wider team to support transport activities and ensure that an excellent service is delivered to customers.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience in a planning role within a fast-paced transport operation.
- Knowledge of UK road transport regulations.
- Previous experience working for The Pallet Network is particularly desirable for this role.
- Good IT skills including use of Excel and transport management systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High levels of organisation, able to balance and prioritise workloads.
