Join Our client's team as a Vehicle Technician!
Location: Bedford
Contract Type: Temporary Ongoing
Working Pattern: Part Time (Tuesday to Saturday, 06:00 - 16:00 with a 1-hour break, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays)
Pay Rate: 17.28 per hour + Holiday, Pension, Adecco Benefits

What You'll Do:
As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring vehicles are repaired to the highest standards. Your key responsibilities will include:

Assessing damage and determining the best method of repair or replacement for large body panels.
Removing, repairing, and replacing large body panels, including roofs, quarter panels, and structural members.
Using a variety of tools and equipment such as welders, jigs, pulling systems, and measuring systems.
Ensuring that all repairs meet OEM (original equipment manufacturer) specifications.
Conducting structural realignment and frame straightening as needed.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
Accurately completing all job documentation and reports.
Collaborating closely with paint technicians, estimators, and other repair staff.
Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For:
We seek individuals with a strong background and relevant skills. To thrive in this role, you should have:

Proven experience as a Panel Beater or Body Technician, specifically with large panel work.
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and spot welding.
Strong knowledge of structural repair techniques and materials (high-strength steel, aluminium).
Ability to interpret technical drawings, repair methods, and measurement systems.
Experience with jigs and alignment systems.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Relevant trade qualifications.
A valid driver's licence (preferred or required, depending on the role).

Desirable Skills:
While not essential, the following will give you an edge:

Experience working in insurance-approved or manufacturer-approved bodyshops.
Familiarity with hybrid or electric vehicle body structures.
Ongoing training in modern vehicle repair techniques.
