Key Responsibilities for a Wood Machinist:
- Operate woodworking machinery (Planer, Thicknesser, Spindle Moulder, Tenoner, Saws, etc.)
- Produce both bespoke and high-volume joinery components
- Read and follow technical drawings and written instructions
- Work with the team to determine best machining methods and tooling
- Report discrepancies before production begins
Key Skills for a Wood Machinist:
- Proven experience as a Wood Machinist
- Strong joinery and machining skills
- Ability to read technical drawings
- NVQ or City & Guilds in Wood Machining- desirable
- Experience with CNC machinery- desirable
