Quality Control Supervisor Role:
Support the business / quality department goals and objectives by leading a team and contributing to the completion of activities by ensuring they have the correct coverage of people and competencies in place and that they are supported by the appropriate policies / processes to accomplish those defined objectives. The role will establish and develop the appropriate business relationships with production, warehousing, and quality to ensure the goals and objectives of those departments are suitably supported to ensure success. Develop the team into a flexible and agile department to allow maximum flexibility whilst ensuring the consistent execution of quality requirements.
Quality Control Supervisor Key Responsibilities:

The role holder will provide effective direction and leadership to the team ensuring that short, medium-and longer-term plans so that the workload is achieved through effective planning and communication

You will ensure that there is consideration of the broader business priorities that ensure all quality issues are understood, mitigated and eliminated

You will ensure that any learning is captured, with solutions embedded within practices, policy and process
Quality Control Supervisor Key Relationships:

Develop and maintain key internal relationships with Production, Quality, CI, maintenance, Warehousing and Purchasing

Externally support productive customer relationships that enhance quality and remove inefficiencies
Quality Control Supervisor Person Specification:
-
Previous experience within a quality inspection / control position
-
Supervisory experience beneficial
-
Background in promoting and supporting continuous improvement and problem-solving solutions using Quality Improvement Tools, data / yield analysis and techniques such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA and mistake proofing

A detailed understanding of material inspection along with how this interacts with the other business activities

Positive attitude to demonstrate consistently modelling the right behaviours to drive improvements and personal growth in your knowledge and competence of quality management and associated systems
