HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter – Beenham, Reading

Join a fast-paced team in Beenham maintaining a diverse fleet of HGVs and trailers. We are looking for skilled HGV Technicians / HGV Mechanics / HGV Fitters to carry out inspections, repairs, and MOTs while developing your career with ongoing training and competitive pay.

Location: Beenham, near Reading RG7
Salary: Competitive with bonus scheme
Hours: 44.75 hours per week, Mon-Fri 7am-4.30pm, plus alternate Sat mornings 7am-11.30am
Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Key Responsibilities
Inspect, service, repair and prepare HGVs and trailers for MOT
Diagnose faults on hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
Complete paperwork and job sheets accurately
Provide roadside support as required
Adhere to health & safety regulations
Mentor and support apprentice technicians
Flexible working to cover other depots as needed

Skills and Qualifications

Essential
City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 in HGV maintenance or equivalent
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrics
Good understanding of health & safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable
HGV Class 2 licence with CPC card and digital tachograph
Experience with manufacturer diagnostic systems
Mentoring or training experience
