Finance Officer - South Belfast

6-month contract (possible extension) | £28,000 pro-rata | Excellent benefits package

Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic organisation in South Belfast who are seeking a Finance Officer to join their team.

Working independently, the Finance Officer will take control of the day-to-day finance within the organisation. 

Specific duties will include:

  • Maintain the purchase order, invoicing, and payment systems and processes
  • Maintain the sales ledger, consulting with other teams to ensure accuracy of invoicing and receipts information on all IT systems, including processing of invoices and receipts
  • Reconciling data from differing sources to ensure consistency of data
  • Source potential suppliers for goods/services provided and prepare concise reports to enable effective decision making
  • Preparing reconciliations of all bank/credit card accounts for review and approval
  • Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
  • Reconcile Creditor & Debtors accounts
  • Prepare quarterly cash projection reports
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget
  • Prepare year-end Financial Statements to trial balance stage
  • Working alongside management assisting with the preparation of periodic reports
  • Dealing with queries and requests from both Internal and External Auditors

The Person:

  • Applicants will be able to work independently and will have the ability to liaise with suppliers, internal staff and stakeholders.
  • Applicants will have excellent communication skills and will work well as part of the wider team.
  • Applicants will have 3+ years finance experience in a similar role and will be conversant with Sage software.
  • An ATI accounting technician qualification is preferred but is not essential.
