Finance Officer - South Belfast
6-month contract (possible extension) | £28,000 pro-rata | Excellent benefits package
Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic organisation in South Belfast who are seeking a Finance Officer to join their team.
Working independently, the Finance Officer will take control of the day-to-day finance within the organisation.
Specific duties will include:
- Maintain the purchase order, invoicing, and payment systems and processes
- Maintain the sales ledger, consulting with other teams to ensure accuracy of invoicing and receipts information on all IT systems, including processing of invoices and receipts
- Reconciling data from differing sources to ensure consistency of data
- Source potential suppliers for goods/services provided and prepare concise reports to enable effective decision making
- Preparing reconciliations of all bank/credit card accounts for review and approval
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
- Reconcile Creditor & Debtors accounts
- Prepare quarterly cash projection reports
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget
- Prepare year-end Financial Statements to trial balance stage
- Working alongside management assisting with the preparation of periodic reports
- Dealing with queries and requests from both Internal and External Auditors
The Person:
- Applicants will be able to work independently and will have the ability to liaise with suppliers, internal staff and stakeholders.
- Applicants will have excellent communication skills and will work well as part of the wider team.
- Applicants will have 3+ years finance experience in a similar role and will be conversant with Sage software.
- An ATI accounting technician qualification is preferred but is not essential.
