We are working with a leading employer in the financial services sector who have a reputation for challenging existing thinking on pensions, actuarial, benefits and investment advice. As an organisation they have grown consistently over the last couple of years in terms of new business acquisitions and new business wins with no sign of slowing down.

As they grow and evolve further, they are now technical pensions, calculations and/or actuarial professionals to join them within newly created GMPe Calculations Analyst roles.

These new roles are offered on a flexible hybrid pattern and can be based out of any of their City based offices across the UK. You will be joining their expanding Actuarial & Consulting teams, where you will be able to further utilise and develop your industry technical expertise by:

  • Undertaking data analysis to identify data requirements.
  • Extracting data from Pension Administration Systems, transforming data and loading data into modelling tools.
  • Analysing data from various sources, such as trust deeds & rules, benefit specifications, valuations reports, admin platforms etc identify and fill data gaps, communicate findings.
  • Supporting the production of calculation and project requirements documentation.
  • Configuring systems and modelling tools to execute calculations, analyse results, and identify remediation actions.
  • Producing Client reports including supporting the development of consulting advice.
  • Participating in client meetings and project status calls, as well as liaising with clients, third parties and client departments.
  • Testing results and outputs on Pension and Actuarial calculation and data projects
  • Understanding project needs and define the test approach and planning.

You will possess:

  • At least 4-5 years working in the defined benefit pension scheme project arena including working on complex pension calculations and/or data analysis including complex data manipulation, including GMPe projects.
  • Experience in working with clients, and various internal teams, and ability to work productively as part of a project team.
  • The ability to identify client needs and providing consultancy expertise.
  • Possess comprehensive / advanced Microsoft Excel skills, as well as proficiency in pension administration systems and calculation systems.
