Freelance Health & Safety Advisor – BELFAST
Rate: £300/day

We’re looking for a hands-on, experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a major client-side logistics project involving construction and refurbishment.

You’ll be the go-to H&S lead on site—driving compliance, ensuring CDM regulations are met, and keeping multiple contractors in check. This is a fast-paced environment where you’ll have full autonomy and the backing of a solid project team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead health and safety on site across a multi-contractor environment

  • Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox talks

  • Liaise with site teams and senior stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with UK CDM and Irish H&S legislation

  • Investigate incidents and ensure effective corrective actions

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in a construction-focused H&S role

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or higher)

  • Solid understanding of CDM regulations (client-side experience preferred)

  • Strong communicator with the confidence to challenge unsafe behaviours
