Job Overview
Delighted to partner with this leading organisation, part of a wider UK & Irish PLC, who are seeking a forward thinking and passionate H&S Manager to join the business in Northern Ireland.
As the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the development and implementation of health and safety initiatives across our organisation, fostering a culture of safety first and embedding safety in our organisation.
You will collaborate with various departments to maintain effective policies and programmes that create a safe and healthy workplace for all colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and safety strategies, objectives, and targets in line with company goals and industry best practices, with a focus on building a culture of safety first
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, codes, and standards
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Maintain a comprehensive health and safety management system, including up-to-date policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Provide guidance and support to employees and management on all health and safety matters, promoting the message that safety is at the heart of everything we do
- Facilitate training programmes and workshops to promote awareness and knowledge of health and safety practices, ensuring safety is embedded in our daily operations
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop effective corrective and preventive actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate health and safety considerations into business operations and projects
- Monitor and analyse health and safety performance metrics, preparing clear reports for management review
- Work with suppliers, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.


Education, Experience & Competencies:
- NEBOSH qualification and minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role (essential).
- Proven experience in developing and implementing health and safety strategies aligned with company goals and a culture of safety first.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience conducting inspections and audits to identify hazards and areas for improvement.
- Ability to maintain a comprehensive health and safety management system.
- Skilled in providing guidance and training on health and safety practices.
- Experience ensuring supplier and contractor compliance with health and safety requirements.
