Maintenance Reliability Engineer - Days Monday to Friday

Our client are a global leader in FMCG drinks & beverage sector

We are recruiting a Maintenance Reliability Engineer to join their packaging plant based in Belfast, working on days Monday to Friday 7am-3.30pm.

You'll be working in a very modern, clean and highly automated production setting.

This is based on a Fixed Term Contract of 8 months, but will give the suitable candidate a great opportunity to work in a forward thinking engineering team and possibly longer term opportunities.

Suitable candidates will need a relevant Engineering apprenticeship and HNC qualified in Electrical/ Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering, with proven maintenance experience in production settings, preferably FMCG high speed automated equipment.

The Reliability Engineer plays a key role in making the engineering department run more efficiently, reviewing maintenance plans, utilising RCA, Reliability Centred Maintenance and ensuring site compliance such as PUWER, PSSR and fixed electrical testing.

The Role

  • Maintenance, repair, problem solving and improvements of assets across the site
  • Review and contribute to RCM, ensuring critical assessment and failure modes are addressed
  • Review and improve maintenance strategy, adopting a pro-active and condition based mindset
  • Deliver site compliance such as PUWER, PSSR and fixed electrical testing
  • Carry out RCA on breakdowns and review in maintenance plans when applicable
  • Carry out PPM's and use data analysis to deliver improvement projects
  • Work with operators, engineers and team leaders in problem solving, information sharing and providing technical support
  • Work to world class standards and encourage others in 5S and Asset Care
  • Use maintenance management system (SAP) effectively
  • Develop and mentor apprentices

What we are looking for

  • Apprenticeship and HNC qualified Mechanical / Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering
  • Proven maintenance experience in a production/ FMCG setting
  • Can identify and repair complex machine faults, electrical and mechanical
  • Knowledge of problem solving techniques such as 5 why and RCA
  • Understanding of asset performance and process improvements
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge of industrial equipment/ FMCG production
  • Knowledge of engineering compliance - PUWER, PSSR and fixed electrical testing
  • Excellent communicator and problem solving skills
